At the end of the day — unfortunately as with everything, humans can come up with data that proves any point.

The reality to look at are places like Shanghai — where the population was almost dying from pollution. Many other Asian cities would wake up to literally dark days due to pollution and smog. Once they stopped relying on coal this pollution decreased.

The elected leadership is trying to bring coal back again. Why not instead work on building new technologies with wind power and solar panels? Move the country into the future, employ at least as many miners as the coal mines would AND really make America the innovative country for the future. Why is there such resistance to this?
