Everything around us serves a purpose

Have you ever wondered the lives of various creatures on the planet and what purpose they serve? In short, the answer lies in a very simple pyramid. Every creature fits into a level in the pyramid and helps to maintain the levels in the layer(s) below and sustain the levels in the layer(s) above them. When one of the levels is off-balance things start going haywire in bands above and below.

Everything around us is part of an ecological pyramid — energy, biomass, and number.

For example, in the food chain if the balance of predatory creatures is too high, then the balance of the creatures below becomes a problem: Too many predators begin depleting the number of creatures in the band below, which causes the band below them to overpopulate. And then the balance in every band below that one is destroyed and unforeseen issues begin to materialize — from an overgrowth of bacteria to extinctions of plant species.

Nature is beautifully balanced and remains balanced when it flows with the laws of nature. Because the health of nature depends on a healthy balance, and the health of the planet depends on healthy nature…
